When is a credit used?

An appraisal that returns a price with market references uses 1 credit, or 1 appraisal from your subscription allowance. If the photo check raises a warning and you choose to continue, the appraisal is charged once it has run, as the confirmation screen says. Timeouts, interruptions and a busy server are not charged. The full rules are in the Terms of Service.

I bought credits but my balance didn't update.

Tap Restore purchases, or fully close and reopen the app. Still stuck? Email us with the approximate purchase time and your Apple receipt or transaction identifier if available.

What does an appraisal result mean?

CameoScope gives a carving-quality grade and an estimated price range in US dollars, based on your photos, the details you enter and comparable sold lots. It is not a formal written appraisal, authentication certificate or guarantee of sale value, and it never states that an item is genuine or fake.

Why did my intaglio get a price but no grade?

Intaglios are valued but not graded. The app asks you to confirm a valuation-only appraisal before it runs.

Is my uploaded photo private?

Photos are sent to our server and to an AI vision model to check and appraise them, and are deleted from our server 30 minutes after the appraisal is delivered. They are not sold or used to train models. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Use Account → Delete account in the iOS app, or email admin@x-wing.one from the address tied to your Apple ID. If you did not share an email through Apple, quote your Apple identifier and we will help locate the account.
