Terms for using CeraScope
Last updated: 2026-05-05
Estimates
Informational market estimates, not formal authentication or financial advice.
Credits
Each successful appraisal uses 1 credit. Failed requests do not consume credits.
Comparables
Auction references are market context and do not imply auction-house endorsement.
These Terms of Service govern your use of CeraScope, an AI-assisted Chinese porcelain and Asian ceramics appraisal app operated by XWING. By using the website or iOS app, you agree to these terms.
1. What CeraScope provides
CeraScope helps users organise porcelain valuation research by analysing object information, estimating likely market value in USD, and showing comparable auction results where available.
The service is intended for research, collecting and market orientation. It is not a formal written appraisal, authentication certificate, condition report, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, insurance valuation or guarantee of sale price.
2. Accounts
The iOS app uses Sign in with Apple to create and manage your account. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple account secure. You may request account deletion through the app or by contacting us at admin@x-wing.one.
3. Credits and purchases
- New users may receive free credits for testing the service.
- Each successful appraisal costs 1 credit.
- Timed-out, failed or server-error appraisal requests do not consume credits.
- Credits are consumable digital goods with no cash value and cannot be transferred between users.
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple and validated through RevenueCat. We do not receive your card details.
- Refund requests are handled under Apple's App Store policies.
4. Valuation limitations
Antique and collectible prices can vary widely depending on authenticity, condition, restoration, provenance, photography, market timing, auction venue, buyer demand and the quality of the comparable sales available. CeraScope's results should be treated as one research input rather than a final market truth.
5. Your content
You are responsible for the photos, descriptions and lot URLs you submit. You should only upload content that you own, have permission to use, or are otherwise permitted to process for appraisal research. Do not submit illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful content.
6. Auction references and third-party rights
CeraScope may display limited factual market references such as auction-house name, lot title, sale date, realised price and similarity score. Auction house names, trademarks and source data remain the property of their respective owners. CeraScope is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any auction house unless explicitly stated.
7. Acceptable use
You may not abuse the service, attempt to bypass credit accounting, scrape the API, reverse engineer protected parts of the app, overload the servers, or use the service to build a competing dataset in a way that violates third-party rights.
8. Privacy
Our handling of account data, photos, valuation queries and purchase records is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If you have questions about these terms, email admin@x-wing.one or visit our Support page.
